Bohemian

Bohemian style (or boho) is classified as being free-spirited, romantic, and sometimes "hippie."  The 1970's and Woodstock always come to mind as well.  When I think of bohemian style staples, a neutral flowy blouse is definitely first on the list.  I purchased this Modern Vintage blouse a few years ago from Nordstrom Rack, and just love the crochet detail on the front that really gives it the bohemian feel to me.  It's been hot here in Seattle this week (yesterday we broke record temps!), so for this outfit I paired the blouse with frayed shorts, ankle-strap sandals, and a soft hobo for a casual and heat-friendly look.

Blouse: Modern Vintage (old)
Shorts: Hollister (old), check out the Free People "Colored Dolphin Hem Cutoff Shorts" in grey, $34 (on sale!) at 6pm.com here
Sandals: Zara (no longer available online), but I love the Chinese Laundry "Balance" in grey/yellow (also available in 2 other colors), $89.99 (on sale!) at Zappos here
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (old), similar Marc by Marc Jacobs "Classic Q Hillier Hobo" in cement, $428 at Zappos Couture here
Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs "Henry" in gold, $250 at Piperlime here
Necklace: Jami Rodriguez (old), similar Gorjana "Leaf Charm Necklace" in gold, $42.19 at Asos here

Bohemian blouses in a neutral color like cream are easy to transition from summer to fall.  You can swap out frayed shorts for skinnies or a maxi skirt and ankle boots.  Check out my picks below for bohemian blouses below:

Left: Daniel Rainn "Silk Pleat Tunic Top" in antique ivory, $89 at Piperlime here
Middle: "Embroidered Boho Blouse" in cream/navy, $22.80 at Forever 21 here
Right: "Blouse with Lace Bib and Pintuck Placket" in cream (also available in pearl blue), $60.75 at Asos here

How would you style a bohemian blouse for fall?  I hope you are having a wonderful week and thank you for reading!
