Fall Style: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Reviews: Keep vs Return

As a follow-up to this post that outlined my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases, I want to share some photos and fit information with you today. I would have done this sooner, except that I received staggered deliveries over the last couple of weeks with my final item picked up this weekend. Now that I have all of my purchases in hand, I can finally share real photos of each item with sizing information. Please scroll through to see more photos, fit details, and what I chose to keep versus return from this year's sale.

This midi coat is a lightweight layer, more of a sweater weight than a coat. The material is very soft and I absolutely love the wear-with-everything camel color. I wanted to love this jacket, but it fits baggier than I would like (I ordered the smallest possible size XS) so this one is going back. However, if you are interested there are some sizes still available at the compelling price of $59.90 (after sale $89). These booties are a winner, however, with a perfect walkable heel, cushioned footbed and chic side cutouts. I ordered my usual size and these are keepers. All sizes are available as I write this in black, but some of the other colors are running low (not surprising) at the sale price of $79.90 (after sale $119.95).

This camel midi coat is such a good color to wear with leopard, like these calf hair pointy-toe flats. These flats fit true to size, I love the print, and they are a great value at the sale price of $84.90 (after sale $148.95). These flats are one of the best deals of the sale at 43% off! I ordered another pair of leopard flats and am trying to justify keeping both (especially since I am returning other items) because I like these so much! All sizes are available in leopard as I write this post, and you can check out all available colors here.

These black orsay flats were the first item I had my eye on in this year's catalog. The leather is buttery soft, the style is classic, and they fit true to size. No question that these flats are beauties, and most sizes are still available! These are also a great deal at $189.90 (after sale $295) so be sure to check out all colors here. I purchased way too many shoes and something had to go back, so I ultimately decided that I would wear the leopard flats more and these are going back. It was a tough choice, though!

These dark skinny jeans are a wardrobe staple from J Brand, and an easy choice to purchase at a sale price of $99.90 (after sale $198--making them 50% off!). With J Brand, I purchase anywhere between a size 25 and 27 depending on the material and fit. Because this pair is super stretchy, I purchased a 25 and they fit perfectly. Shop these jeans here. These leopard flats took the longest amount of time to get in hand--I placed an order online that eventually was cancelled, so I found my size at one of my local stores instead and picked them up in person this weekend. I also purchased the snakeskin version, which are so pretty with their pink details, but when push comes to shove I will always choose leopard. I tend to wear leopard flats to death, so the question now is whether I keep both this leopard pair and the Franco Sarto pair a few photos up, or whether I keep this leopard pair and snakeskin pair for some print variety? What do you think? Shop these leopard flats here and the snakeskin version here. Also, if you are curious about my striped tee, you can shop it here.

It made sense to talk about these activewear pieces together: this wrap hoodie jacket, wear-everywhere leggings, and mesh inset tank. The longer version of these leggings are unfortunately sold out, but the crop version is still available at a compelling sale price of $33.90 (after sale $52). This tank is sold out in white, but black and red are still available at the sale price of $24.90 (after sale $39). These leggings and tank were an easy choice to keep since they fit the same as other items I have from the same brand; however, I had a harder time with this wrap hoodie jacket. I read that it runs big, so I ordered both an XS and small. The small was ginormous, and the XS you can see has a loose, comfy fit. However, at the sale price of $65.90 (after sale $99) I am not convinced that this jacket is worth the price. I have other hoodies from the same brand that have more substance, and I couldn't keep everything, so I decided to pass on this one.

I would love to hear about your sale purchases--what did you ultimately keep versus return? Thank you for visiting my blog today, and I hope you have a great weekend!
