If you have been following along on Instagram and here on my blog, you know that I recently spent seventeen days in Italy visiting Siena, Lucca, Modena & Parma, Florence, the Amalfi Coast, and Rome. The main reason for this Italy adventure was our destination wedding in Florence! We spent one year working with local planners VB Events to craft our perfect wedding day at our venue Villa le Fontanelle. We visited Florence last April (remember this post?) to meet our planners and check out several venues I had found by doing some online and social media research, but our planners suggested we visit Villa le Fontanelle as well. I am so glad that they made this suggestion, because we fell in love with this beautifully restored 15th century Medici villa that was located only a 10-15 minute drive outside of downtown Florence. We had 78 guests join us for an intimate outdoor ceremony, a delicous three course dinner seated at a long king's table with an incredible view of the city, a Millefoglie (thousand layer) Italian style wedding cake prepared in front of our guests, and a super fun night of dancing to all of our favorite hits with late night pizza/paninis until 2:00am! Please scroll through to see some of my favorite photo highlights from this incredible day with our nearest and dearest family and friends.

You can see more photos on Eva's blog here, don't forget to check out the photos from our Welcome Dinner here, and stay tuned for more travel logs of the week after our wedding. We kept the party going by traveling to the Amalfi Coast and Rome with fourteen of our friends and had so much fun! Thank you for visiting my blog today, and I hope you have a fabulous rest of your week!
