Today's post features a couple of outfits that I put together in partnership with Shopbop.  Now that fall is around the corner (thank you, Nordstrom, for putting us all in fall mode with your Anniversary Sale!), it is the perfect time to start thinking about creating transitional outfits that will easily take you from summer into early fall.  Shopbop always puts together the best lookbooks and trend boutiques, and I am currently loving their pre-fall trend boutiques called Modern Art.  The Modern Art trend is labeled as "sophisticated and eye-catching: sleek pieces in gallery-worthy shades,"  but in layman's terms they really mean brights.  If you have followed me for a while, you already know that I love incorporating brights into my wardrobe; wearing brights always puts me in a good mood!  Please read on for details of two outfits that I would happily wear for the summer to fall transition: one casual, and one for the office.  I used Polyvore to create these images - a great site for creating your own outfit inspirations!
Pre-Fall 2015: Casual Brights

In this first casual outfit, the cheerful yellow bucket bag gets the majority of the attention (as it should).  I maintained a soft palette for the rest of the look with a chambray shirt, denim skinnies, grey python lace up flats (such a hot trend right now!), and a silver statement ring.  This is a perfect travel or weekend ensemble: comfortable and stylish at the same time.

Pre-Fall 2015: Brights for the Office

1.  La Mer Watch  2.  Black Halo Dress  3.  Collar Necklace  4.  Zac Posen Tote  5.  Sam Edelman Pumps

In this second outfit, this beautiful green dress is the centerpiece.  I currently have two Black Halo dresses, and the quality is absolutely worth the price.  The shape of the dress is classic, and the kelly green color works with any skin tone, so to me this dress is a worthy splurge.  I added leopard slingback pumps and a neutral leather tote that is large enough to fit my 13" laptop.  For accessories, I chose a simple collar necklace and a leather wrap watch--both of which are under $100.  This ensemble is perfect for most office dress codes, and you could easily add a blazer for more coverage or warmth.

What are your favorite fall trends this year?  Thank you for visiting my blog today, and I hope you have a great week!
