Colorblock Sloan Dress

Hello and happy Monday!  I am working in Shanghai again (my fourth work trip in the last nine months) for the next two weeks, and if you follow me in Instagram you will be able to see what I'm eating and my adventures outside of the office. Today, however, I want to talk about the new Sloan sheath dress from Banana Republic.  I promise that I am not being paid for this post, these are just my personal opinions about a recent purchase that I love.  This dress came home with me last month when I stopped into Banana Republic to check out the new arrivals (I had $80 in rewards just begging to be used).  I tried on a number of pieces, but this dress was by far my favorite.  The shape is so flattering, with the perfect stretch to hug in all of the right places.  Another great selling point for me is that this dress is easy to style for the winter to spring transition: now I can layer it over a slim turtleneck sweater and tights, but later it will be a perfect standalone piece for spring and summer.  You'll also notice I am carrying my Koret Tudor Zip Pouch, the very same one that I'm giving away!  Be sure to check out the giveaway post here for details on how you can enter for a chance to win one of these gorgeous clutches.

A colorblock dress in a neutral palette is one of those pieces that once you add it to your closet, it becomes the staple day to night dress that you reach for over and over again.  See my additional picks below for colorblock dresses that can take you from a day at the office to a night out with ease:
