Inspired by Olivia Palermo

Today's outfit is inspired by an old photo of style blogger favorite Olivia Palermo.  While browsing through some style inspiration photos on my iPad recently, I found a photo I had saved of Olivia Palermo pairing a sweatshirt with a ruffled skirt, pumps, and an envelope clutch.  I thought "Hey, that skirt looks just like a dress sitting in my closet!"  I purchased a blue Max & Cleo ruffled skirt dress several years ago intending to wear it to a wedding, but I ended up wearing a different dress and this has sat on its hanger unused.  I listed it to Poshmark recently, so if you like it and want to see more details please check out my Poshmark link here.  For my version of Olivia Palermo's outfit, I wore a cream textured sweater over the dress.  I then added nude studded bow pumps, my Ted Baker bow clutch, and one of my favorite statement necklaces from Conversation Pieces Boutique (use my coupon code "AVECAMBER" for free shipping on your purchase!).

My inspiration photo of OP:

I'm pondering whether to take this dress to a tailor and have it altered into a skirt, because I don't like the top of the dress and think that I would wear it to work if it was a skirt instead.  However, I don't really need this dress and if someone else wants to purchase it from me I'm happy to find it a new home.  I need help from my favorite style bloggers: what would you do?  Leave it as a dress or convert it to a skirt?  Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
