Travel Style: Striped Skater Skirt + OTK Wedge Boots

We just returned from a wonderful week-long trip in Japan with a group of dear friends over the New Year's holiday. It was really nice during the day (sunny and in the 50's F) but chilly at night (in the 30's F), so I took a small carry-on of winter layers plus a down coat. My carry-on consisted of pieces that could be worn together, winter basics that could be mixed and matched with different tops and bottoms. Some of these pieces included a quilted down vest, over the knee wedge boots, and a red cross body satchel. I wore those three pieces several different ways on the trip, which you will see in future outfit posts! In today's outfit, I styled this quilted down vest  over the knee wedge boots  and red cross body satchel with a striped textured bandage skater skirt and off-white sweater for an afternoon of visiting temples and parks in Tokyo.
