Summer Style: Vintage Hermes Scarf + Fourth of July Outfit Idea

Since we just passed the summer solstice and longest day of the year yesterday, it feels like a great time to share a summer outfit that could be a great option for the upcoming Fourth of July Holiday! You may have seen on my Instagram stories that I recently purchased my first vintage Hermes scarf from Gilt, and I chose the "Eperon d'Or" style in classic shades of navy blue, gold, red, and white in a versatile 36" x 36" size. Designed by Henri d'Origny and first introduced by Hermes in 1974, this beautiful silk scarf highlights equestrian elements such as horse bits, riding crops, stirrups, and spurs ("eperon d'or" translates to "golden spur" in French) in a gorgeous geometric design. I love that this size of silk scarf can be tied around your neck, tie back your hair, or tied around your bag. There are so many great styling options. I also love the idea of styling a vintage scarf with a vintage scarf ring--it feels appropriate and is a great example of sustainable fashion. I ordered a classic Hermes Regate scarf ring from Fashionphile last week (there are also great options on Rebag), but in today's outfit while I wait for my scarf ring to arrive I styled this beautiful piece in a classic square knot. This color scheme has nautical vibes and a Fourth of July holiday vibe, with this scarf complementing my denim blazer, knit tank, wide leg pants, and neutral accessories. Please keep scrolling for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for silk scarves that I think would look beautiful styled with a variety of summer looks.
