Transitional Style: Parker Clay Backpack + Ruffle Shoulder Cardigan

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. You may have seen via Instagram that I recently spent a weekend in Denver visiting dear friends, and of course we carved out some time for shopping. I had been thinking about getting a leather backpack as a casual weekend bag, and this Parker Clay Abby backpack in a rich tan leather caught my eye as we walked through the Dairy Block shops. When we learned that Parker Clay employs and empowers women and their communities in Ethiopia and celebrates traditional, sustainable, and ethical craftsmanship we were all sold on the products, mission, and values. I am very happy with the leather quality and size as a weekend bag, and decided to use it this weekend for my Sunday barre class and errands. Today I am sharing this backpack in a casual look with a ruffle shoulder cardigan that is way warmer than it initially looks, Gen-Z style distressed jeans, suede booties, and my usual favorite accessories. All of today's pieces make up a casual look that is ideal for the winter to spring transition. Please continue scrolling to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for transitional pieces that I think would look wonderful styled together this season.

  1. Your sweater is so cute! The ruffles are so fun and I love how it takes your outfit up a notch. I am a big fan of backpacks for their hands free functionality so I know what you mean. I haven't heard of Parker Clay but the color is perfection. I hope your week is off to a great start and happy Monday!

  4. That is such a cute statement knit and your backpack sounds like a great buy! I loved when I didn't have to carry around so much for the kids and could upgrade from a baby bag to a backpack - much kinder to my back and shoulders, and as you said it's a practical choice for weekends too!

Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope that you are having a good weekend :) Another sunny day here thankfully, helping things dry out after the floods!
