Spring Style: Cropped Faux Leather Jacket + Wide Leg Pants
The last two weekends have been decently warm, sunny, and springlike here in Seattle, and I am very much enjoying the ability to stow my wool winter coats in favor of lighter jackets. This spring I am loving all types of cropped jackets such as the one I am sharing with you today: this Cropped Cargo Faux Leather Jacket unfortunately is now sold out, but I linked it here in case more sizes become available. Today's outfit is inspired by a relatively new show called "Death and Other Details" that I just finished watching via Hulu! I really enjoyed the murder mystery storyline, but more important to today's post is that the main character, Imogene, has a fabulous series of outfits in the show. One of her outfits in the first episode is a pair of wide leg yellow pants styled with a Balmain herringbone crop tank and an IRO off-white cropped leather jacket. When I saw that first episode, I loved the outfit and thought I could recreate something similar with items my closet. While I do not own yellow pants, these blue Signed Blake x The Drop pants are equally bright and have a similar wide leg shape. I found this herringbone crop tank on Poshmark, much more affordable than the Balmain piece worn in the show, and of course added the cropped faux leather jacket mentioned already. A simple clutch, heels, and a gold choker round out this ensemble that I think is perfect for a spring date night or night out with friends. Please continue reading to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for cropped jackets and wide leg pants that I think would look amazing styled this spring.

DeleteI love wide-legged trousers and they look fab with the cropped top and short jacket. It's turned cold here in Portugal these past few days though so I'm back in woolly jumpers!! You look fabulous!

DeleteYes! I am a huge fan of wide leg pants, in fact that is all I wear when it comes to pants. Also, a fan of cropped pieces to wear with them since mine are all high waisted. You created a beautiful outfit. Love that you thrifted part of it. It's the best when a character on a show inspires your style!
