Summer Style: Butter Yellow Slip Skirt + Strappy Sandals

Seattle is finally starting to feel like summer this past week, and while the sunshine and 80+ degree temperatures won't last long I appreciate any opportunity to ditch the layers and bare some skin! One summer go-to outfit combo I wear year after year is a crop tank, skirt, and sandals. You may remember this outfit from summer 2021, it is a great example of how I have been styling skirts and tanks for the last few years, but today's outfit is an updated version with 2025 trends. Slip skirts continue to be everywhere this season, and I picked up this Bias Cut Satin Midi Skirt recently because it was 1) butter yellow and 2) on sale for a great deal (most sizes are still in stock as of this post's publish date)! I followed the size chart, ordered a size small, and while the waist is a bit large it fits my hips well without being too tight--so I would say it fits true to size. The color is perfect for summer and it just feels elegant. A white crop tank (a closet staple) a pair of strappy sandals (also very on trend this summer), and several of my favorite accessories create this elevated summer date night look.
