Summer Style: High Waist Paperbag Shorts

 Bare leg season is here, and I have to be honest with you all that many of the shorts trends I am seeing for 2025 are not appealing to me. I don't have anything against bermuda shorts or jorts, I just don't think they look good on my 5'4" frame. I also think bloomers and micro shorts look fantastic on tall, leggy women, but that is also not me. I prefer to stick to classic, flattering styles like the paperbag shorts I am styling today. The cotton fabric and looser fit is breathable and comfortable for rising remperatures, and the high waist design is ideal to style with cropped tops. It was difficult to choose between the eight colorways, but I landed on this versatile camel tan that will go with just about everything in my closet. In today's ensemble, I styled these shorts with a cropped tank, espadrille sandals, and a satin scarf styled over my shoulders with my Hermes scarf ring. A favorite tote and accessories round out this casual weekend look that has already been on repeat during these early summer days.
