How I am Styling a Vest this Summer
August is the best time of year to visit Seattle, I always say, because we have the best chance of sunshine and high temperatures but we don't have oppressive humidity. Many festivals, concerts, and weddings also occur during the month of August for this very reason--there is always something fun going on. My outfits during these hot summer weeks are usually some combination of cotton and linen pieces like the look I am sharing today. This linen blend vest is a fabulous neutral piece that I added to my closet about a year ago and packed for our trip to Egypt and Morocco . When I visited these predominantly Muslim countries, I layered a tee underneath this vest to ensure my shoulders were covered out of respect. However, when here at home I think this vest also looks fabulous styled alone as a top with a pair of high waist shorts and wedge sandals.
