Phillip Lim for Target

The hot topic this weekend in the blogosphere was the launch of the Phillip Lim for Target collection.  None of the previous Target collaborations have peaked my interest, but this one is the exception.  I happened to be outside of Seattle this weekend for a wedding in beautiful Port Gamble, Washington, and stopped by the Silverdale Target Sunday morning.  I was so pleased to find a great selection of clothing and bags, and zero competition (no fights necessary!).  I tried on both the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Shirt Dress -Floral Print and the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Peplum Tank -Floral Print in size XS, and both fit well.  I opted for the peplum tank over the shirt dress because the top is more versatile to style for work.  I also compared the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Medium Satchel - Taupe and the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Tote with Gusset - Taupe, and decided on the latter because it's large enough to fit my laptop and serve as my new work tote.  For today's outfit, I styled the peplum top and tote with my Asos faux leather skirt and taupe booties purchased on my June work trip to Hong Kong.
