Lariat Choker Necklace

The choker trend is one that I have not worn since the late 90's.  When I saw fashion bloggers start to wear chokers again last year I had some high school flashbacks to outfits that were cool at the time but that I would never wear today! This season's chokers range from thin & simple to layered & wrapped; there are plenty of options to suit your personal style. I recently purchased this Lariat Choker Necklace from Baublebar with my birthday discount and am loving the layered look. This choker has a single clasp in the back, but it totally looks like a more complicated piece than it really is! For this first styling, I started with a red skater skirt and tan sweater. I then added a faux fur vest, tights, and boots for winter warmth. This choker and my go-to Smartphone Charging Tote completed the look. I can also envision wearing this choker with an off-the-shoulder top for an evening out! Please scroll through for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for stylish chokers to create your own winter outfit (Dr. Martens and butterfly clips optional).
