Spring Style: Watercolor Floral Maxi Dress
Summer can officially begin now that I have found this year's go-to maxi dress! In the past, I have shied away from maxi dresses because these styles looked great in photos on a 5'10" model, but then completely drowned my 5'4" frame. Choosing between wearing 5" heels or hemming this type of dress was just plain frustrating, and I honestly just gave up on maxi dresses for a while (I think the last time you saw me wear a maxi dress here on the blog was 2014). Fast forward to this spring, where a designer finally heard the pleas of the average height American woman and designed a maxi dress that fits with the right proportions without needing to be hemmed: this watercolor floral maxi dress. I wore this dress on Easter Sunday, and will certainly be styling it on repeat all summer long with both heels and flats--I love that I can choose. In today's outfit, I styled this watercolor floral maxi dress with a faux suede jacket, ankle strap sandals, and one of my go-to monogrammed clutches for a cool spring day. Please read on for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for on-trend maxi dresses to style this spring and summer.
