Silk Scarf as a Bag Accessory

It is Monday again, friends, somehow despite our best efforts! I was happy to be home this weekend after a couple of weekends away for the holidays, and felt very productive accomplishing house cleaning, meal prep and workouts along with plenty of time to just chill with my family, hubby, and pup. Speaking of holiday travels, today's post features a few accessories that I purchased on our recent trip! I treated myself to a new Prada bag while in Italy--can you believe that the house we rented with a group of dear friends for the New Year holiday was in Bucine, literally a fifteen minute drive from the Prada outlet? I mean, it was right there...it would have been a crime not to go. I could have bought a suitcase full of goodies at the Prada outlet, but limited myself to just one versatile crossbody bag in my favorite color. Then, after celebrating the New Year in Tuscany, we flew from Italy to Las Vegas to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday last weekend. You all know how easy it is to shop in Las Vegas with their low sales tax rate, there was really no hope for my wallet going in. I had been thinking about purchasing a Gucci belt for a while, and after trying a few at the store I pulled the trigger on this one in a versatile tan. I know I will get a ton of wear out of it! Then I wandered into Prada with the intention of "just looking" at their silk scarves, and fell in love with this Milan themed number from their "pittoresque" line. We had just been in Milan, it was a red print with the Duomo that matched my new bag, and clearly meant to be. While I will certainly wear this scarf over my shoulders, my first styling was tied as an accessory on my new bag. Please read on for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for silk scarves that I think would look lovely as accessories for your favorite bag.

  5. What a chic outfit. I love how a blazer can elevate any look - one of my go-to looks for traveling or just throwing on over jeans in liu of a cardigan to elevate my style! The scarf bag accessory is so fun. I love changing out the scarf each season as a fun update.

    1. Seasonal scarf changes are such a great idea! I'll have to try that! I also agree that a blazer over jeans instantly elevates any look. =)
