Holiday Outfit Idea: Duster Coatigan + Sweater Shell Set

Now that Christmas is only a few weeks away, it feels like a good time to share a holiday outfit idea! Some of you may remember that I've done posts like this in the past: last year's holiday outfit idea compilation post is here, and several additional past holiday outfit ideas are here, here, and here. In past years, my family had a tradition to get dressed up and attend a Christmas show by our local Seattle Symphony, but this year we are keeping celebrations low key and casual. Today's outfit is a great example of a chic and cozy outfit for a small holiday celebration this year, styling a matching coatigan and sweater shell set with a faux leather skirt, tights, and leopard booties. Easy, right? If a skirt and tights feel like too much this year, you could easily swap them for faux leather leggings or your favorite skinny jeans. Either way, a matching coatigan and shell like this are both comfortable and easy to style--I know I will be wearing mine all winter long. Please scroll through for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for matching sweater and top sets that I think could be a perfect pairing this holiday season.

A sweater set is an easy way be comfortable and look put together during the holidays, whether you are having a small gathering or celebrating with loved ones virtually! While it was harder than I thought, I found several more great options for sweater sets that I think would look fabulous styled for the holidays this year. You can check out all of my picks in the widget below:

What is your favorite way to style a sweater set this season? Be sure to leave me a comment below to let me know. Thank you for visiting my blog today, stay safe, and I hope you have a great week!

  8. What a great outfit! it looks so cosy and I like the matching pieces, a very clever idea to make an outfit looked pulled together instantly! That's a great skirt on you too :) Hopefully things get safer for you so you are able to have some kind of normal celebrations for Christmas. We haven't had any cases in our state in over 86 days so we are having a normal family Christmas which we are all looking forward to!

Hope that you had a fun weekend :) Despite the very wild and wet weather here we managed to get to a couple of Christmas parties which was lovely.

  9. I love this neutral outfit! So chic, and the leopard booties are the perfect hint of pattern. I don't really have any holiday plans either so I like the more lowkey outfits like this. Hope your week is off to a great start!
