Winter Style: Satin Midi Skirt + Supersoft Turtleneck
Happy New Year and welcome to 2021, everyone! So much has changed over the last year (example: my first post from 2020 was a travel log from our November 2019 trip to Colombia, when I had no idea that would be one of my last trips out of the United States before the lockdowns), but I am optimistic that this year will turn things around and we can all get back to enjoying our normal lives with family and friends soon. I do have to say that blogging has been a bright spot for me over the last year, and I have truly enjoyed shopping my closet and sharing new ways to style pieces (I published 40% more posts year over year) as we have all been working from home and staying close to home. Even better, I appreciate all of the connections with blogger friends and readers (yes, that's you!) and encouraging comments received on my posts every week that truly fill my cup. Today's outfit is a great example of styling an existing piece in my closet in a new way: this satin midi skirt made its official debut here on the blog with a shawl collar vest back in early March, right before everything shut down, and even though I didn't get out much I took the opportunity to style this skirt three more times here on my blog: with a cropped tee in April, then with a suede moto jacket in May, and with an oversize sweater and fedora in November. I love how versatile this skirt has turned out to be--it looks great with way more pieces in my closet than I originally thought! In today's outfit, I styled this skirt with a super soft wool/alpaca blend turtleneck, suede booties, and my favorite navy clutch for a warm but stylish winter look. Please scroll through for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for satin skirt and turtleneck sweater pairings for more winter outfit inspiration.
I'm a sucker for leopard print! Love this outfit so much!

DeleteAmber, I adore this outfit. I don't own a satin skirt but I love all the options you gave, making it a super versatile piece, and that's my kind of skirt to add to my closet. Wow, you sure did blog more in 2020. I think I tried to stay afloat, LOL, but am really trying to stay a week or so ahead of my posts to keep it consistent and manageable for myself. Have a great weekend.

Thank you so much, Bo! I think being home more definitely gave me the opportunity to spend more time blogging. I will try to be as consistent this year too!

Ok, I have to say that I just LOVE this outfit. May be one of my absolute faves of yours! That skirt is so pretty just on its own, but I love the warm caramel colors your sweater and boots add to the look. And, the GiGi clutch for the win (love the color of it, too!).
