Transitional Style: Satin Midi Skirt

If you regularly follow my blog, you caught a peek of this satin midi skirt in my Spring Fitting Room Try-Ons post from a little over a week ago. I had been looking to add a satin skirt to my closet for about a year, and finally found this one that checked all of the boxes for fit, length, and a fun print. So much cuteness all in one piece! I wanted to start wearing my new skirt right away, but warm spring weather has not quite arrived here in the Pacific Northwest. The Seattle winter-to-spring transition means that it is chilly both outside and inside my office, and layers are essential. In today's outfit, I styled this satin midi skirt with a merino wool sweater, shawl collar vest, and suede booties to keep me warm during a typical not-quite-winter-not-quite-spring workday. Please read on for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for satin skirts that I think would look fabulous styled both now and later.

  9. Oooh I love this colour combination. That skirt is very lovely. I have a pleated satin skirt that I love but it is so high maintenance in terms of the pleats and their shape. I've been looking for an alternative version that I can wear more (and doesn't require dry cleaning hahaha!)
