Three Ways to Wear a White Button-up Shirt This Spring

One of the most versatile pieces in any closet is a white button-up shirt. Whether styling for work or play, you really cannot go wrong with a classic button-up shirt. I recently added this cropped button up poplin shirt to my closet from a retailer that I have not shopped at in many years, but has recently surprised me with their revamped collection. I followed the size chart and ordered a size small, and am really happy with the fit and quality! This shirt comes in four colors with a wrap front, classic collar, and long sleeves. I love the timeless shape that can be styled so many ways. Today I am sharing three different ways to wear this shirt this spring, and hope that it will inspire new ways for you to wear the classic button-up shirts in your closet as well. Please continue reading for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for button-up shirts that I think would look so good styled this spring and right on into summer.

This first outfit idea is great for a spring day at the office and features this button-up shirt with a twirl-worthy pleated midi skirt, leather wrap belt, braided sandals, and carry-all tote. This look feels feminine, pretty, and the pleated midi skirt is right on trend this spring. Unfortunately, my skirt is old but I've linked a similar style above. This tote makes the outfit ready for the office, but you could easily swap it for a clutch or crossbody for a more casual occasion.

This second outfit idea is also great for a casual day at the office, and equally as great for a sunny weekend. These cropped gingham pants are adorable and make me think about summer picnics! I followed the size chart for these pants, ordered a size 2, and they fit great! They go so well with this button-up shirt and these espadrilles add more fun color to this look. The same versatile tote gives this look workwear vibes, but again you could easily swap to a clutch or crossbody for a more casual vibe.

The third and final outfit idea I am sharing today is a casual one, perfect weekend adventures this spring and straight into summer. In this look, I styled this button-up shirt with another new addition to my closet: ultra high rise distressed jeans in a light ripped wash. I followed the size chart, ordered a size 25, and am very happy with the fit. They are ultra comfortable, too! Here I styled this top and jeans with the same braided sandals and a YSL crossbody.

Since I think that a button-up shirt is a classic piece in any closet, I collected more options for you to check out in the widget below. Be sure to scroll through to see all of my picks, priced for a range of budgets and with most options currently priced under $100:

  11. This is such a staple for you - you look great in a white shirt! I really don't have that many shirts in my wardrobe, ironing them is too much of a pain, haha! I really like that first outfit - the skirt is so pretty! :)

Thanks for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope you are having a great weekend. It's another rainy day here.
