Winter Style: Floral Mini Dress + Square Toed Booties

Happy New Year, friends! I took a couple of weeks off from blogging to enjoy the Christmas holiday with family as well as a week of skiing and quality time with friends in Breckenridge, Colorado. As much as I love winter ski trips, I also crave sunshine and warmth during these dark winter months and the outfit I am sharing today is the exact opposite of a ski holiday. I have been spending some weekends in San Diego visiting dear friends, thawing out, and enjoying the ability to wear dresses and light layers. Today's outfit is one that is perfect for sunny winter days in southern California: a dark floral mini dress styled with a leather jacket and booties. This dress caught my eye with its navy blue and brown print, I think you all know by now how much I love navy blue and I can style a dress like this with so many existing pieces in my closet. I followed the size chart, ordered a small, and it fits perfectly including the sleeve length. I added these rich chocolate brown square toed booties, since I am seeing square toed booties everywhere this season, an old favorite leather jacket, and one of my go-to large envelope clutches.
