Travel Style: What I Packed and Wore in Peru
If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen a peek at my recent bucket list Peru trip. This trip was one that I originally started to plan for spring 2020 and was rescheduled a couple of times; I was thrilled to be able to finally make this trip happen the last two weeks of May 2023. Our itinerary included visits to Cusco, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Arequipa, Puno and Lake Titicaca, La Raya, Lima, and the last couple of nights in Mexico City. You can read my posts on Cusco here, Machu Picchu here, The Sacred Valley here, and the Belmond Andean Explorer Train here.
While I continue to work on my travel log series, today I am taking a quick pause to share everything I packed and wore during my Peru trip. I packed relatively light, not backpacker light of course, but traveled with my Tumi 19" International Standard Aluminum Carry-On Suitcase and Tumi Voyager Contine Weekender Laptop Bag for the two week trip. This weekender laptop bag is great for a longer trip, because it has a bottom zipped compartment that can be expanded to carry additional purchases! In total I packed four shirts, three pairs of shoes, three pairs of pants, two dresses, two pairs of shorts, two sweaters, two tanks, two light jackets, one jumpsuit, one plaid scarf wrap, one beanie, and one fedora. These pieces created two week's worth of outfits with ease, but it is worth mentioning that I was not bothered by wearing the same outfit multiple times throughout our trip and we did laundry a few times along the way to keep our clothing fresh. Please continue reading to see more photos and links to all of the pieces (or similar pieces) that I mixed and matched and wore throughout the trip.
How do you usually pack for a vacation? Please don't hesitate to leave me a comment below to let me know how much luggage you usually take on a one or two week trip, and how many outfits you pack. Do you do laundry along the way like we did? I hope you find this post helpful to pack for your next trip. Thank you for visiting my blog today, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!
