Transitional Style: Button-up Shirt + Cashmere Sweater
Do you have a favorite go-to outfit for early fall days at the office? Seattle is a city of casual style, thanks to all of our tech companies, and I cannot think of a more classic combination than a button-up shirt and jeans. I was killing time before a dear friend's birthday dinner this past Friday evening, popped into one of our local Madewell stores, and walked out with this brown striped cotton poplin button-up shirt that is an ideal colorway for fall. I could not resist the easy fit and oversize cuffs, and a size XS fits me perfectly. Since Seattle is enjoying a mild fall with sunshine and warmer temperatures, I first styled this shirt with skinny jeans, wedge sandals, and a fall-perfect burgundy crossbody bag. I added a cashmere sweater over my shoulders for the evening chill, and several favorite accessories to complete this office-friendly look. So simple and so classy, if you ask me. I know I will be styling this shirt on repeat for in-office days this fall, and when the days get cooler I will swap the sandals for booties and add a jacket.
