Equestrian Style: Barn Jacket + Plaid + Knee Boots

Our winter here in Seattle has been warmer than usual so far, meaning I am leaving my heavy winter coats in the closet in favor of lighter layers like this barn jacket. This particular jacket does not come with a hood, but since I live in Seattle where it rains 150-200 days a year I purchased one separately here. You previously saw me style this barn jacket for fall here, and in my China travel logs here and here. I had to go much farther back in the archives to find a similar outfit with this quilted vest and plaid skirt, but this post from 2017 features both in an equestrian-coded look. I suppose this proves that my style has not changed much over the last ten years, and today's ensemble is similar to that 2017 one with updates to the long sleeve top and knee boots. I also added my new Polène Numero Dix Galop Edition crossbody bag, a special edition for Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse). Please continue scrolling to see more photos and links to either current pieces I am wearing or similar products currently available as I publish this post.
