Ted Baker Skater Dress + Floral Clutch

August is the best summer month here in Seattle, when the weather is predictably sunny and warm (think 80's to low 90's and moderate humidity).  It's definitely my favorite time of the year to be home, because there are always reasons to be outdoors after work and on the weekends.  This also means it's the most popular time of the year for weddings, and I recently wore this outfit to celebrate the wedding of two dear friends.  The wedding reception was at a perfect location right on Lake Union, and I took advantage of the lovely views for a quick photo op on the dock.  I purchased this Ted Baker dress via Poshmark earlier this spring when I fell in love with its bright sorbet pink color and full skirt.  For this summer wedding, I paired the dress with a floral clutch, navy bow pumps, and minimal gold jewelry because this dress really stands out on its own.  It was also a great deal because I've been selling items on Poshmark and had credit to spend.  If you aren't familiar with this site, I'll give it a quick plug here.  Poshmark is a site where you can buy and sell fashion items within a huge network.  It's free to be a member, and Poshmark takes a % of the sales as their commission.  Please feel free to look up my closet with username arathvon, or check out my Poshmark sidebar for a peek at my current items for sale.

Here are a couple of photos with my stylish ladies at the reception.  Everyone looked so gorgeous!

Fit-and-flare skater dresses are a great choice for wedding guest attire because they are flattering for all body types and they can be styled any time of the year.  I'm loving sorbet colors like pink and yellow right now, but there are so many great color options!  Check out my picks for skater dresses below, all under $150:
