Printed Wrap Dress
During my most recent trip to NYC, I happened to be in the city for the start of a Diane von Fürstenberg sample sale in Midtown. I love the look and quality of DVF wrap dresses, but I don't love the $285+ price tags. Solution: sample sale! I went the first day, when the racks were full and the fitting room lines long, but the staff did a great job of moving everyone through quickly. While I didn't buy any of the specific sample items, I decided on two beautiful dresses at a static price of $100 each: today's featured sleeveless printed wrap dress, and a "Tiffany" blue color crepe dress that will be getting its own post soon (you can see a peek in my last post here). For today's outfit, I paired this printed wrap dress with black pumps, my black Koret clutch, and simple gold jewelry for a dinner date. This dress is perfect for summer days at the office now, and in a few months I can easily layer it over a long sleeve tee or turtleneck to seamlessly transition to fall and winter. Because this dress has a simple print in a black, white, and cobalt blue combo, I believe it can be worn any season of the year.
Dress: DVF (sample sale)
Pumps: Enzo Angiolini "Callme Pump" in black, see available colors/sizes $29.70-$80 at Amazon here
Clutch: Koret New York, check out the current Koret "Ori Clutch" in black, $358 at Shopbop here
Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs "Henry" in gold, $250 at Nordstrom here
Necklace: Forever 21 (old), similar "Chunky Gold Collar," $32 at Baublebar here
Ring: H&M, I'm loving this "Matrix Bar Ring," $28 at Baublebar here
Wrap dresses are a versatile piece in any fashionista's closet, especially this time of year for the summer to fall transition. While DVF wrap dresses are gorgeous, and I think that basic solid colors are timeless, it's tougher to justify spending so much on a trendy print. This is where the more affordable brands come in, and there are so many great options available right now. Check out my current picks for printed wrap dresses, all under $100:
Left: BCBGMAXAZRIA "Beckie Sleeveless Faux Wrap Dress" in black combo, $70.77 at Amazon here
Middle: Ivy & Blu
"Long-Sleeve Stretch-Knit Wrap Dress" in black/white, $95 at Nieman Marcus Last Call here or more sizes, $98 at Nordstrom here
Right: Maggy London "Print Jersey Wrap Dress" in black/blue, $98 at Nordstrom here
How would you style a wrap dress for the summer to fall transition? Thank you for visiting my blog today, and I hope you have a great rest of your week!
