Summer to Fall Transition Style
Here in the Pacific Northwest, a visit to the beach is a bit different than the traditional view of white sand and rows of umbrellas. Washington beaches are beautiful in their own way, with mostly rocks rather than sand and sun-bleached driftwood. It also tends to be cooler (both the wind and the water), meaning us locals often take jeans and a hoodie to the beach even in the summer. Today's outfit is what I wore for a BBQ at one of the local Seattle beach parks on the fourth of the July, when we enjoyed a gorgeous sunny day with a high of maybe 75 degrees. This hoodie is one of my favorite layering pieces from Mindy Mae's Market (I own four different color schemes), and while the red/white/blue combo was the obvious choice for the fourth of July I wear it all year. Boyfriend jeans, flip flops, mirrored aviators, and a tank underneath were all I needed for a chill day at the park with a group of dear friends. Hoodies like this are perfect for the summer to fall transition when evenings start to cool and you just need a light layer rather than a full jacket. Please scroll through for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for transitional pieces.
