Summer Style: Yellow Top + Wide Leg Pants
I hope summer is going well so far for everyone, it is definitely a year to explore more of our nearby areas in a physically distant manner! I took a couple of weeks off from blogging to get away from the city for a bit, spending time with my husband in a cabin near our local Mount Rainier National Park. It felt so wonderful to get away from the city and instead wake up to the aroma of cedar, hemlock, and fir trees as well as the sounds of birds and a rushing river nearby. Now that we are back in the city, I also appreciate having everything we need in walking distance (the closest town to the cabin was a 30 minute drive) and the ability to wear heels just because I feel like it. Today's outfit is definitely a city outfit, one that I wore just because I could, and features my favorite color of the summer: bright yellow! Over the years I have grown to better appreciate a cheerful pop of yellow in an outfit, and this silk blend short-sleeve sweater is an ideal top for both casual wear and virtual work meetings (I have it in light blue, tan, and now yellow). In today's outfit, I paired this yellow top with my white wide leg crop pants (seen a few times before including here), neutral sandals and a neutral bag.
