Fall Style: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Purchases

Two weeks ago, I showed you my small wishlist for this year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and you can read that post here. With Nordstrom's current tiering, I was able to shop 10 days before the sale officially started, and was fortunate to be able to get almost everything on my wishlist on the first try plus a couple of add-on items. There are a couple of things that were sold out already, but I have my Nordstrom app notifications on in case an item comes back in stock during the sale--restocks and returns definitely happen, so don't lose hope if something you want shows as sold out right now! Today I am showing you three outfits that include my sale purchases along with my reviews on product fit and quality, so please scroll through to see all of my photos and details.

First up is an outfit that just screams fall with this gorgeous Giraffe Print Car Coat. I love a good animal print, and this coat immediately caught my eye when I previewed this year's sale items. The dark print looks so stylish, and I absolutely love how pretty and soft this coat is in person. The fit is true to size, I ordered a small to allow some room to layer underneath and I'm happy with the fit. One note that this coat is not wool--it's a blend of synthetic fibers--but I don't mind because Seattle winter temperatures are mild compared to many other parts of the country and I have other warm wool and puffer coats for the below freezing days. This outfit also features these waterproof booties, which are a bit of an investment at $249.90 (regular price $395), but I could not pass up a pair of high quality waterproof booties for almost 40% off that I know will last a long time. They fit true to size, the leather is buttery soft, and although I have not yet worn them all day they feel very comfortable! This cashmere sweater is not part of the Nordstrom sale, but is also on sale and a wardrobe staple for fall. I also linked another classic cashmere sweater that is part of the sale with most sizes/colors in stock, as well as two similar pairs of jeans that are part of the sale with most sizes in stock.

This next outfit is a great option for the upcoming summer to fall transition, and features these square toe slide sandals that are very much on trend this year. These sandals are also a bit of an investment at $209.90 (regular price $325), but a 35% discount is significant enough to get me on board as I know they will also wear well for a number of years. They have the same buttery soft leather and comfortable fit from the first wear as the booties. This cashmere sweater is the same as the above outfit (a stylish bargain), and these wide leg pants are a favorite pair that have been featured multiple times on my blog this spring and summer. A chic leopard print clutch and star necklace (not part of the sale, but I paid full price because it is adorable) round out the look.

My final outfit is so ready for the upcoming fall season! This one features a pair of cognac suede booties that were not originally in my wishlist, but received so much hype from top bloggers that I had to order a pair to try for myself. If you are in the market for a dark tan boot, the color of these boots really is perfect for fall. I ordered my usual size, which fits great, and I like the side goring that makes these boots easy to pull on and take off. At under a hundred bucks on sale, I agree that these are a win. In addition, I am sharing this oversize sweater that looks a lot like the Free People sweater that sold out quickly during the first tiers of presale and a leopard trim hat that unfortunately sold out but I linked a couple of similar items. This sweater is a bargain at $31.90, size small fits comfortably, and while I don't expect it to last forever it is super soft and will be so cozy when the weather turns.

That's it for my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases! You can also shop the pieces I linked in the widget below.
