Fall Investment Pieces: Gucci Belt & Stuart Weitzman OTK Boots

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I am having a moment with the gorgeous fall foliage here in the Seattle area. I absolutely love this time of year--it is my favorite time to shoot outfits. Fall layers among the fall leaves? Yes, please! Our local Washington Park Arboretum is a great place to find fall foliage, and I was very happy to visit on a dry day last week to shoot today's outfit featuring two investment pieces that I think fit well into any fall wardrobe: a classic Gucci belt and Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots. This Gucci belt is a new addition to my closet, a piece that I debated for a while and finally talked myself into buying. My logic is that it that while it is expensive, this belt is an a versatile piece that can be styled with a variety of outfits. In addition, if I decide that I want to sell it in a couple of years I should not have any trouble doing so. These Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots have been in my closet for a few years (some of my favorite looks are here, here, and here), and have also proved to be a versatile pair of boots that are well worth what I paid for them. In today's outfit, I combined these two investment pieces with an animal print coat, puffed sleeve top, skinny jeans, and bright clutch for a casual but stylish fall layered look.
