Transitional Style: Plaid Long Blazer + Neutral Accents

One of the best things about spring is the ability to store away heavy winter coats in favor of lighter (and cuter) jackets! Over the last year many of us learned that comfort and practicality rules as we work from home and spend the majority of our time at home. I am all in favor of athleisure, but this spring my outfit combination of choice is going to be a relaxed fit blazer and a comfortable pair of jeans. A double-breasted boyfriend style like this gorgeous black and tan plaid long blazer (see my first styling here and I am wearing a size four for reference) is a fabulous choice! The looser, boyfriend fit is comfortable to wear, and the neutral plaid print can be styled with everything from neutrals to bright colors in my closet. In today's outfit, I am sharing a casual option with neutral accents: an off-white bodysuit, light wash jeans, a nude belt, pumps, and satchel, and gold layered necklaces. I have also been trying out more magnetic lashes (I linked the ones I'm wearing here and am loving below), and used my sleep styler large rollers for the first time in a while to achieve this "beachy" wavy hair. Please read on for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for blazers and neutral accent pieces to create your own spring-perfect look.

    1. Thank you, Tracy! A blazer and jeans are such a classic combo! I linked the pair I'm wearing here, which I'm liking so far because the liner and top lash combo is super easy to apply, but I'm totally open to trying more brands too!

  10. Loving this look!! I don't have any boyfriend or looser fit blazers, but I think I need one... Over spring break I'm finally going to swap out my wardrobe (can't wait!) but I'm not sure I can send home the big jackets yet... Denver is known for its April and May snowstorms, haha!

    1. Thank you, Grace! I really do think a boyfriend blazer is going to be my go-to layer this spring and can't wait to see which one you decide on. Definitely don't get rid of those coats until spring really arrives...I know how Denver can be sunny and warm one day and snowing again the next! =)
