Fall Style: Two Ways to Wear Faux Leather

Faux leather is a recurring fall and winter trend and one that I would guess most of us have tried at least once. In recent years I have seen more fitted pieces like dresses, motorcycle jackets and leggings but this year I am seeing far more relaxed pieces like straight leg pants, shorts, blazers, and trench coats. I am 100% on board with more relaxed faux leather pieces, and decided to style and share two outfits with faux leather pieces with you. Today's looks are centered around a pair of faux leather shorts and a faux leather pencil skirt, but you've also seen me style kick flare faux leather pants, a faux leather mini skirt, and more for the fall season. I hope today's posts sparks some outfit inspiration for you! Please continue scrolling to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for faux leather pieces that I think would look fabulous styled this fall and beyond.

This first look is ideal for fall weekend activities, perhaps even a casual office environment, and combines faux leather with two other popular fall trends: sweater vests and chelsea boots. A white button-up shirt adds some structure, as does this tailored wool coat that you've seen before in this post. A pair of sheer tights are an essential winter accessory in my book, although I know tights are polarizing. As someone who has grown up in Seattle where we have cold, dark, and dreary winters I appreciate the additional warmth a pair of tights provides. My classic Celine Micro Belt Bag that goes with everything rounds out the ensemble. This is one of my favorite fall outfits to date--I love the mix of textures that keeps this black and tan palette from being anything but boring.

This second outfit has "fall office chic" written all over it and combines faux leather with a timeless neutral blazer and lightweight sweater. Leopard pumps add a fun pop of print, and here again my Celine Belt Bag matches well with its structured shape and neutral shade. Again, the mix of fall textures and prints is a great fall update to a classic black and tan outfit combination.

If you decide to style faux leather pieces this fall, you have so many options and I pulled together a selection of my current favorites for you to check out below.
