Fall Style: Button-up Shirt + 90's Style Jeans

It is officially fall this week, according to the calendar, but I have been loving the September sunshine and lingering warm temperatures here in Seattle. It's cool enough in the mornings and evenings for a light jacket, which means I can bring my Burberry trench coat out of the closet for the fall season (without yet adding its wool liner), but live life jacket-free during the middle of the day. Today I want to share a classic outfit combo updated for current trends: a button-up shirt and jeans. Now you have seen me style button-up shirts and jeans a variety of ways over the years, including several of my favorites here and here and here. This season, instead of the skinny jeans and more tailored styles that I usually gravitate toward, I opted to lean into the more relaxed trend and styled this lightweight linen blend button-up shirt with a pair of 90's style jeans and loafers. I debated a neutral bag like my Celine Micro Belt Bag or YSL Medium Envelope crossbody, but ultimately decided that my LV Coussin PM added a fun pop of blue. My Burberry trench coat and several of my favorite accessories round out this comfortable casual look that is a great update to a classic button-up shirt and jeans. Please continue reading to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for button-up shirts in fall colors, prints, and textures that I think would look amazing styled this season.
