Double Denim + Wool Cape
This spring I am seeing many trends rotating back into style (hello, barn jackets and the topic of last week's post!), and one that is very approachable is double denim. I would take a guess that most of us have multiple denim pieces in our closets already, and the question is really how to style trends in a way that feels authentic to your style. For me, that translates to classic neutral foundational pieces with trends mixed in, and today that foundation includes a denim button-up shirt and dark rinse high-waist slightly flared jeans. Since it was not anywhere near warm enough to go without a jacket the day I styled this look, I debated wearing my Burberry trench coat but instead reached for this red wool cape that joined my closet in 2015 but hasn't been featured here on the blog since this 2017 post. I think it adds the perfect pop of bright color to this outfit! My roomy Faure le Page tote, several favorite accessories, and booties (because it was too wet to wear the loafers I wanted to wear), round out this casual or office-friendly ensemble. Please continue scrolling to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for denim separates that I think could look fabulous paired together this spring and straight into summer.
