Elevated Athleisure

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We were in San Francisco over the weekend celebrating a dear friend's birthday and had the chance to catch part of the St Patrick's Day parade on Market Street Saturday morning. It was wonderful to see so many people out downtown San Francisco on a warm sunny weekend morning along the parade route and at the Ferry building. It gave me hope that Seattle will warm up to normal spring temperatures soon, but in the meantime I am wearing all the layers and sharing an elevated athleisure look with you today. This post was inspired by a street style pic that for the life of me I cannot find again, but it was an incredibly chic woman wearing a windbreaker with relaxed jeans, sneakers, a long wool coat, baseball hat, and a satchel over her arm. It felt like a perfect spring weekend look with a couple of tweaks. I did my best to recreate a spring athleisure look by combining some existing closet heroes with a couple of new additions. This classic trench coat pre-dates the start of my blog, will never go out of style, and has been seen many times including here, here, and here. You saw this windbreaker in my Kauai post, these 90's style jeans in this post and this post, and this LV Coussin PM a few times including here and here. I recently added these sneakers and baseball hat to my closet, and they round out the look so well. Please continue scrolling to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for elevated athleisure pieces that I think would look amazing styled this fall and straight into summer.

Baseball Hat: exact here (I am wearing a size Medium)
Trench Coat: newer versions here or here
Windbreaker: similar here
Jeans: newer version here
Belt: newer version here
Sneakers: exact here (I am wearing a size 38)
Bag: same style current colors here and here

Since I think that sporty separates are a spring staple, I searched and found more great options for you to check out below. Be sure to scroll through to see all of my picks that I think could be components of an elevated athleisure outfit this season:
