Cherry Blossoms + Pink Tweed Jacket

Last week was peak cherry blossom season here in Seattle, a gorgeous time of year and the time when I drag my hubby over to the University of Washington to shoot outfit photos with the famous and iconic Yoshino cherry trees. These trees always draw massive crowds, and while there are plenty of other places in the city with beautiful cherry trees and no crowds, I am a proud UW alum and this spring photoshoot is one of my favorite traditions. I think it is wonderful that so many people in the Seattle area take the time to visit this area and enjoy these beautiful cherry blossoms. For these annual photoshoots, I often style outfits with some pink elements for this tradition and today I continued the theme with this vibrant pink tweed jacket. A tweed jacket, especially one in a brighter or lighter color, is an ideal layer for fickle spring days and one of the spring trends that repeatedly comes back year after year. Today I styled this tweed jacket in an office-friendly ensemble with a camisole, high waist pants, classic neutral pumps, my Burberry trench coat, and several of my favorite accessories.
