Transitional Style: Pinstripe Shirt Dress + Classic Trench Coat
Next weekend we "spring ahead" and sunset time will be after 7pm again in Seattle. I am very excited about that and starting to think about transitional outfits for the winter-to-spring shift. There are many great options for transitional looks, and today I want to share an outfit that I wore on a recent date night with my hubby. This classic trench coat has been in my closet for many years (a few favorite stylings are here, here, and here) and the removable liner is perfect for the sometimes drastic temperature swings. This pinstripe shirt dress is a recent addition to my closet that I believe will have so many styling options throughout the coming seasons. I had a gift card to spend and after combing through a number of options landed on this one as a classy piece that will be wearable for many years. Knee boots made a lot of sense for the winter chill, but I am looking forward to being able to swap boots for heels and sandals here in the near future. I wanted a pop of color with this outfit and chose my LV Coussin; however, after revisiting these photos I think a red or orange bag would look even better for next time. Please continue on to see more photos and links to the pieces I am wearing as well as similar pieces that I think would look lovely styled this season and beyond.
