Today I am joining fellow Seattle blogger Bri at Work Clothes, I Suppose for her Third Thursday Threads linkup! This month's theme is "polka dots." I have worn this blouse and sweater both separately on the blog, but I decided to double down the dots and wear them together! I think this works because the colors in the blouse and sweater go together, and the dots are different sizes. I really like the effect of the smaller dots on the blouse with the larger dots on the sweater.
Check out my picks for polka dot sweaters and blouses to match up for the double dot effect:
Left: "Textured Polka Dot Sweater" in black/cream, $15.99 (on sale!) at Forever 21 here
Middle: Max & Mia "Big Dot Sweater" in dusty petal (also available in black and french blue), $74 at Nordstrom here
Right: Lucca Couture "Polka Dot Pullover" in sea breeze (love the mint!), $89 at Piperlime here
Left: "Factory Polka-Dot Popover" in ivory, $69.50 at J Crew Factory here
Middle: BDG "Polka Dot Button-Down Denim Shirt" in blue multi, $59 at Urban Outfitters here
Right: "Errand on the Side of Style" top in mint polka dot, $34.99 at Modcloth here

Two things.
ReplyDelete1. I'm so glad you linked up!
2. I love this outfit - double the dots = double the style, in my opinion!
Oh wait, three things.
3. I keep saying I can't wear white pants in Seattle because of the rain, but you're making me second-guess that. I guess I'm going to have to work on my fear now!
I really love the polka dot layers! I always think it is fun to double up on patterns, especially when they are the same colors!
ReplyDeleteI love double dots, you look so cute!

Great look Amber! I am double down on polka dots on my post too. I think our layering is very similar in that the polka dots are reverse of each other & one print is smaller than the other.
