Spectre Style: James Bond + 12 Days of Giveaways Day 3
Today I am continuing my James Bond style series, breaking down some of the fashion in the latest movie Spectre. Did you see my first recap of Madeleine Swann's style? Be sure to check out that post if you have not already by clicking here. In today's post, I want to talk about James Bond himself. James Bond is arguably the best dressed globetrotter, and Daniel Craig is definitely holding true to that image with his Spectre outfits. Please read on below for my three favorite looks from Spectre, with actual links as well as my picks to recreate the looks for less! Be sure to also scroll down for the third installment of our 12 Days of Giveaways series.
Outfit #1: Mexico City Suit. In the exciting first scene of Spectre, James wears a Tom Ford O'Connor suit in navy windowpane. This is no surprise, because Daniel Craig wears so many Tom Ford items in his Bond movies. You can see the exact style in charcoal here for $4,920 or the very similar Tom Ford Windsor suit in navy windowpane here for $3,990. These are very steep pricetags, however, and you can scroll down for some great options to recreate this look for much less.
Outfit #2: Austrian Alps action scenes outfit. The real quilted bomber jacket James wears is (no surprise) Tom Ford and has a hefty price tag of £1,450 GBP. It is currently sold out at Harrods but you can view the product page here in case it comes back in stock. His pants are also Tom Ford, sold out but you can see the product page here. His boots, however, are a much more attainable choice: the Danner Mountain Light II in black. This practical, 100% waterproof Gore-tex boot is visible in the second photo below and totally wearable for a normal guy.
Check out my picks below for quilted bomber jackets that look like James Bond's, but for way less. The jackets below are all currently available online for $160 and lower:
Outfit #3: I could not create a post on Spectre style without talking about the white tux jacket that James wears during the train dinner scene. This outfit is reminiscent of Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca as well as previous James Bonds--Sean Connery was the first Bond to don a white tux jacket in "Goldfinger." Daniel Craig's red carnation in the promo poster below appears to be an homage to Sean Connery's "Goldfinger" Bond. Daniel Craig wears a (you guessed it) Tom Ford Windsor Tuxedo Jacket in cream, priced at $4,390. He wears this jacket with Tom Ford O'Connor Tux Pants that retail for $1,460. You can also view the same tux in black, with pants included for $5,200.
Since there aren't many of us who can drop $5K+ on a tux, I've rounded up my picks to recreate this look for much less (be sure to click right to see all of the items in the widget):
