I absolutely love that this year my family and friends have finally been able to reschedule weddings originally planned for 2020, and we have wonderful reasons to dress up and celebrate again. My sister and brother-in-law were one of these couples, and I recently traveled to Orcas Island in the San Juans for their wedding weekend. We were fortunate to have three days of gorgeous, sunny weather--even in the summer you can never guarantee sunshine or warmth in parts of western Washington state such as the San Juan Islands. Today I am sharing two wedding guest outfits with you that I wore to celebrate my sister and brother-in-law's nuptials. The navy, pink, and purple color palette was perfect for their late summer celebration, and would also be ideal for a fall wedding. Please continue reading to view more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for wedding guest dress options that I think would look gorgeous styled for wedding festivities this season and beyond.

This first outfit is what I wore for the wedding ceremony and reception. It is a little bit difficult to tell from the photos, but this dress is a shimmery navy fabric and so pretty in person! My sister did not have a wedding party, so I was not required to wear a particular dress or color, but I chose this one because the navy color and maxi length matched the long navy dress my grandmother picked out for the ceremony. The draped grecian style was both flattering and comfortable, with a center slit for easy movement on the dance floor--a total win in my book. I followed the size chart and ordered a size 4, the smallest size available, and it fit very well. I added wedge heel ankle strap sandals since the ceremony was outside in a grassy garden area, my Chanel flap bag, and classic favorite jewelry pieces to complete the outfit.
This second outfit is what I wore for the rehearsal dinner, and I am so in love with this dress! The gorgeous floral print, ruffled skirt with side slit, and ruched top with side cutouts all combined make this a gorgeous dress for a wedding or event. Photos don't do this dress justice, and I hope I have another reason to wear it again soon. I added the same ankle strap sandals, classic jewelry pieces, and braided my hair back with a rolled bun for the windy evening. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous, though!
