Transitional Style: Wide Leg Pants + Pointelle Striped Sweater
I made it almost halfway through February without purchasing any new clothing items, but my streak ended this past weekend when I walked into Anthropologie. Whoops. I went in looking for candles and to browse the extra 40% off sale rack, but walked out with this pointelle striped sweater that had my name all over it and is perfect for spring. Over the years as my style has evolved and become more refined, my mindset is that it is better to buy one piece at full price that I love and will wear on repeat, rather than buy a couple of pieces on sale that I kind of like and might wear a few times. I purchased this sweater in a size XS, am very happy with the fit, and I immediately wanted to style it with these wide leg pants that I am happy to report are still very much on trend this spring. Quick reminder that I am wearing a size zero petite in these pants (I think they run large), and for additional style ideas check out this post and this post. A denim jacket, neutral pumps, and a classy Celine satchel round out this look that I wore for weekend brunching but I also think would be perfect for office-to-happy hour. Please continue reading to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my pics for wide leg pants and striped tops that could look fabulous styled together this season and beyond.

DeleteHi! I just discovered your blog. You have a beautiful, refined style! Like you I have been trying to minimize shopping and thankfully I am succeeding this month. I am working on a more minimalist approach to my style with a splash of bold prints here and there. I can see why you had to buy this striped sweater, looks really versatile. Actually, stripes are my fave pattern, so I may be biased! :))
