Spring Style: Cutout Shirt Dress

Spring weather is starting to show itself here in Seattle, and that means it is dress season! While I have many beautiful dresses in my closet, I think many of you know how much I love dresses with cutouts and lucky for me cutout dresses are still very much on trend this spring and summer. You have seen me style cutout dresses several times here on the blog; a couple of past favorites are here and here. Today I am sharing a new addition to my closet that I could not resist on sale: this dark green cutout shirt dress. I only own a couple of green pieces of clothing (I gravitate toward shades of blue) and thought this was a great way to add more of the color to my wardrobe. I am wearing a size 4 petite here--I ordered a 2P and a 4P, and while the 2P fit great in the waist/hips it was too small in the chest and I could not even button it up. The 4P fits much better in the chest and the length is great, so while the waist hangs a little loose I can totally live with it. In today's styling, I layered a faux leather jacket over this dress with chelsea boots and a fedora for a dry but chilly weekend brunch date. When the weather gets warmer I cannot wait to style this dress with espadrilles! Please continue scrolling to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for cutout dresses that I think would look fantastic styled this spring and straight into summer.
