Transitional Style: Neutral Basics + Faure le Page Tote
Neutral basics are the core of a capsule wardrobe, and the key pieces to your capsule wardrobe may look different than mine depending on where you live. The milder weather we have here in the Pacific Northwest means that late fall, winter, and early spring are all similar (with some exceptions, of course) and my go-to basics are the same. Today I am sharing a casual look made up of several of those neutral basic pieces: a tailored wool coat, a cashmere sweater, skinny jeans, booties, and a roomy carry-all tote. Most of my outfit is made up of existing pieces, with the one exception being this tote. You may have seen my Instagram unboxing reel for this bag, and while it is easily mistaken for a Goyard it is actually made by a different French brand called Faure le Page. I have not had a versatile tote like this since I sold my LV Stephen Sprouse Neverfull back in 2016, and this navy blue beauty not only fills that gap in my bag collection but is a very special Lunar New Year numbered limited edition! I like to purchase felt organizers for my larger bags and have several from this company that work so well to not only hold the bag's shape and keep my things neatly organized, but also keep the interior of my bags clean. Highly recommend! Please continue reading to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for neutral pieces that I think would be great starters for a winter to spring transitional wardrobe.
Very elegant look. And such a pretty tote!

Thank you, Kathrine! I am so glad you love this bag too!
DeleteLove that camel colored coat, it truly is a staple and never goes out of style. It's shocking to see photos with no snow at all! LOL. It looks wonderful and having three similar seasons does make purchasing some pricey items that will last over many years worth it, as you get so much wear out of them. My staples also include a wool coat, black booties, solid black trousers and a variety of blazers.

You are right that it is odd to have winter weather and photos without snow! Some years we do and some we don't...I hope it warms up for you soon!
DeleteClassic, neutral but timeless outfit indeed. And don't forget Amber, all the difference is made by you and only you, your style and your so lovely smile of course.
