Transitional Style: Oversized Sneakers

The oversize trend really took off in 2020, for good reason, and shows no sign of going away anytime soon. The combination of comfort and style without looking like you are trying too hard has massive appeal, and I appreciate that there are so many options to incorporate oversized pieces into every closet. Back in December I decided to shop for a pair of black sneakers to wear during our end of year Paris trip (you may have seen me wearing them in this IG post), and fell in love with these chic oversized sneakers. I had seen this particular style before in white, but there is something about the sleek black with white soles that really sold me. I chose to switch out the thin standard insoles for a better quality set (these Superfeet insoles are my current go-to) to ensure I could comfortably wear my sneakers during a full day's adventure, easily logging 15k-20k steps each day. Since that December trip these sneakers have quickly become a weekend go-to styled in outfits like the one I am sharing with you today. This long grey wool blend coat and these high-waist straight leg jeans were also debuted during that same Paris trip are are so easy to style on repeat in the winter and current winter to spring transition. This black and white collared sweater is a year-round staple recently added to my closet to replace another sweater that had worn out over time. A classic YSL crossbody and favorite jewelry pieces round out this casual look. Please continue on to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for oversized sneakers that I think would look fantastic styled this season and straight into spring.

  3. I think it's a really cute look on the right person (which you are, and *I* am not!). But put an oversize sneaker or chunky shoe on me with my long slender legs/ankles/feet and I look like Olive Oil! #WowOnWednesday
