Summer Outfit: Linen Skirt

The hottest and muggiest days of summer are here, as shown by the mixture of sunshine, wind, thunderstorms, lightning, and rain over the weekend. This type of stormy weather is not a regular occurrence here in Seattle, and honestly makes me think the Chicago/Midwest summer storms are following me home! During the hottest days of the year the best and most practical fabric to turn to is linen, and I have seen countless posts and pins of beautiful summer outfits effortlessly styled with linen skirts. Eventually, I had to break down and order this light and airy linen midi skirt on sale to try out the look for myself. Now I will openly admit that I am not a huge fan of ironing, so linen is not my favorite fabric because any linen piece requires ironing before you wear it and then as soon as you iron it and sit down it immediately wrinkles. Best laid plans, I suppose. In today's outfit, I styled this lightweight linen midi skirt with a simple tank, Rothys flats, and several of my favorite accessories.
