Sundress Season

I do not want to spark controversy with today's post, but I will risk it to say that we are in the height of sundress season and I am here for it. The definition of a sundress is up for debate, as we have seen on social media over the last few months, but I believe that everyone can and should wear sundresses that you are comfortable in and fit your body well during the warmer months. I love this Sezane tie shoulder style and have purchased two different versions now: this lemon print and a red floral print from a couple of years ago. There is something about a lemon print that just screams summer and if I cannot be in Italy I can at least feel the Italian summer vibes. I love the fitted bodice with a back smocking and zipper along with the flowy midi skirt and bow tie straps. You may have seen me post this dress in my Instagram stories last week and in today's post, I am sharing this summer sundress styled with ankle strap sandals, an envelope clutch, and several of my favorite accessories for a chic summer styling. Please continue on to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for lemon and fruit print dresses that I think are beautiful statement pieces to style this summer and beyond.

    1. Thank you, Kathrine, I love this lemon print too! Regarding the controversy, let's just say there were some unkind people earlier in the summer with opinions on what size of women should wear sundresses and posting about it on social media to garner attention. :/ Probably better that you didn't see it!

    1. It wasn't so much the definition of a sundress as it was unkind people earlier in the summer with opinions on what size of women should wear sundresses, posting those opinions on social media to get attention, and going viral for it. :/ Completely the wrong message to send.

  4. What a light and colorful outfit, ideal for summer evenings, and always wonderfully worn by a Princess who is not up for debate. These block heel sandals are perfect for walks in the villages along Lake Como. So of course I can feel the fantastic vibes of Italy... and of course you will always be welcome in my country of origins.
