Summer Outfit: Casual Linen, Cotton, and Sneakers

How is this summer treating you? Well, I hope! This time of year is my favorite time to be home in Seattle, with the sunniest weather and the best summer events like Seafair weekend (August 2-4 and you may have seen my Instagram stories with a peek at the Blue Angels air show), the many summer concerts, and all of the weekend food festivals. I always tell friends that August is the best time of year to visit Seattle because you have the best chance of dry and sunny weather--and there is always something to do. These hot summer weekends call for casual comfortable outfits like the one I am sharing with you today: pieces made from lightweight, breathable fabrics like linen and cotton and a pair of walkable sneakers for all day adventures. Most of the pieces in today's look are existing closet heroes: you may remember seeing this linen top and these cotton poplin shorts in my What I Packed and Wore in India post, as both are ideal fabrics and weight for hot summer temperatures. This olive green Dior bag also made appearances in my India posts, as the crossbody shape and size are ideal for travel, as did my accessories. The single new addition to my closet is this pair of sneakers, since I can never have too many pairs of white sneakers and could not resist this particular Jacquemus collaboration.
