Summer Date Outfits
I can hardly believe that it is already the last weekend of August! While remaining summer days and nights may be winding down, I have very much enjoyed spending the majority of the season at home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with family and friends. Since I have been out and about in Seattle quite a bit this summer, but have not posted every outfit worn, I wanted to take some time to share a few recent date night/date day looks with you today. Each of the pieces in these outfits are existing in my closet, nothing new, and all been seen here on the blog before (you will see that I note some prior posts farther down in this post). Many of you know I love to find new ways to style existing items to prove their versatility over the years, and that I have become much more intentional about adding pieces to my closet that have potential to be styled repeatedly over time. Please continue reading to see more photos, details, and links to either my exact pieces or similar items to hopefully spark ideas of how to style or restyle something in your closet today.
Date night outfit number two is a more casual one that I think could work well for an "office to happy hour" look. My husband and I both had work meetings all day, but made time to meet for early dinner at a relatively new Cambodian called Sophon that opened up earlier this year in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood of Seattle. Our meal was delicious--the team warned us that a few of the dishes were very spicy and they were not wrong! We are planning to return to try more of the menu sometime soon. For this weekday date night outfit that you also may have seen on my Instagram stories, I chose a versatile short sleeve sweater jacket that you've seen before in this post paired with distressed jeans that you have seen many times including this post. I added a pair of white oxfords seen before here, and a roomy tote seen a few times including this post. I will note here that I thought about swapping the oxfords for neutral heels for dinner and I think heels could be a great choice of footwear as well. This is a great example of an outfit that can comfortably take you from a day of meetings at the office to happy hour or dinner.
These are all cute! Really love the first one!
