Summer Date Outfits

I can hardly believe that it is already the last weekend of August! While remaining summer days and nights may be winding down, I have very much enjoyed spending the majority of the season at home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with family and friends. Since I have been out and about in Seattle quite a bit this summer, but have not posted every outfit worn, I wanted to take some time to share a few recent date night/date day looks with you today. Each of the pieces in these outfits are existing in my closet, nothing new, and all been seen here on the blog before (you will see that I note some prior posts farther down in this post). Many of you know I love to find new ways to style existing items to prove their versatility over the years, and that I have become much more intentional about adding pieces to my closet that have potential to be styled repeatedly over time. Please continue reading to see more photos, details, and links to either my exact pieces or similar items to hopefully spark ideas of how to style or restyle something in your closet today.

You may have recently saw this outfit in my Instagram stories, but I love this outfit so much I feel like it deserves a permanent space here on my blog. There is a restaurant here in Seattle called Pancita that has been getting wonderful reviews--the chef earned a James Beard nomination and was a finalist for Emerging Chef in 2023! We decided that we had to check it out, and visited for dinner on a Friday night. Our meal at Pancita was very good, with my favorite dish being an albacore tuna tostada inspired by one of our favorite restaurants in Mexico City called Contramar--a perfect light hot weather dish. For our Friday night date night, I paired this bustier top you've seen before in this post with these satin cargo pants that you also seen before in this post and this post. Then I added some metallic accessories because I am still loving that trend, and really love how the look turned out.

Date night outfit number two is a more casual one that I think could work well for an "office to happy hour" look. My husband and I both had work meetings all day, but made time to meet for early dinner at a relatively new Cambodian called Sophon that opened up earlier this year in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood of Seattle. Our meal was delicious--the team warned us that a few of the dishes were very spicy and they were not wrong! We are planning to return to try more of the menu sometime soon. For this weekday date night outfit that you also may have seen on my Instagram stories, I chose a versatile short sleeve sweater jacket that you've seen before in this post paired with distressed jeans that you have seen many times including this post. I added a pair of white oxfords seen before here, and a roomy tote seen a few times including this post. I will note here that I thought about swapping the oxfords for neutral heels for dinner and I think heels could be a great choice of footwear as well. This is a great example of an outfit that can comfortably take you from a day of meetings at the office to happy hour or dinner.

Outfit number three is from a recent weekend "date day" where my hubby and I ran some errands and picked up some pieces of clothing for him to wear on an upcoming trip. You may remember seeing this outfit on my Instagram Stories from a Chicago work trip waaaay back in April, but somehow did not yet make it here onto the blog! I styled a short sleeve wide cropped tee with white wide leg crop jeans, sneakers, and my Dior Miss Caro bag. Unfortunately my top and jeans are now sold out, but I linked similar pieces above.

I also linked either the exact items I am wearing or similar items (if my exact items are sold out) in the widget below for easier shopping:

Which summer outfit is your favorite? Please don't hesitate to leave me a comment below to let me know. Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you have a fantastic final week of August!
