My Most Worn Jacket This Spring

I had a realization over the weekend that I have only worn my classic khaki trench coat once this spring. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my that coat, but this spring its trendier cropped cousin is stealing the spotlight. The fact that high-rise straight leg and wide leg jeans or pants are still on trend this season is absolutely driving the cropped jacket trend, since these pieces together create a proportional balance. Today's outfit is a great example of these balanced proportions in a casual look: I paired my cropped trench with a fitted tee, high-rise straight leg jeans, and low profile sneakers to run errands over the weekend. My essentials all fit nicely within my Polène Numero Dix Lunar New Year edition crossbody bag (it fits more than I initially thought it would).
